When you create an account on Bawsala, we collect your first and last name, username, email address, birthdate, and a securely hashed password. When you plan a trip, we store the trip's city, dates, budget, group size, and purpose so it can be reopened later from your account.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Bawsala uses Mapbox and Google Places to show maps and points of interest, and Gmail's SMTP service to deliver verification emails. These providers may process limited data (such as your IP address, when it makes a request to render a map) under their own privacy policies.
Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed before being saved. Trip plans you save without an account stay only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to our servers.
You can review and update your account details from your profile page at any time, and you can delete saved trips individually or all at once from the Saved Tables page. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.
